Rigging on a sailboat at dusk in City Island, Bronx, New York City. A stark sunset is shades blue and shades of yellow and orange. These exquisite colors exaggerate the rigging and masts at rest on the boat along with the outlines of the hull. the water is serene and silken. The photograph was taken in autumn from the deck of our boat.

City Island is an oasis not far from Manhattan connected by one bridge. It is a hot spot for boaters from the surrounding New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Restaurants on the island abound and it is a go-to place for diners from the surrounding areas.

The Bronx is one of the five boroughs of New York City and is a stone's throw from Manhattan. It is connected to the main land by one bridge. Throughout the years, City Island has maintained its unique and eclectic vibe.

I love to photograph the natural world and, in particular, the mysteries of our beautiful Atlantic. Fog intrigues me. While rowing my little rowboat through Blind Brook in Rye, New York, I have been able to capture the delicate light created at dawn and dusk and the life of sea birds such as egrets, osprey and others. The ethereal beauty of my floral images transcends reality and I am now dabbling in AI with my own photographs and imagination generated pieces. Much of my art, both abstract and realistic, has been digitally enhanced with oils or watercolor to create a unique and painterly effect.
